Work Opportunities

For the international students with F1 student visa are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during the term time and 40 hours per week during the breaks. With the F1 visa, it is mandatory to work on campus for the first year and then move to off campus workplaces in the following year. There are two programs also curated for students who wish to work off campus in their field of study: Optional Practical Training and Circular Practical Training. For any queries, students should seek help of the DSO (Designated school official). Average pay for the part-time jobs is between $7 to $9 per hour but might be higher than $10 for skilled positions. OTP is a student visa extension that provides one-year additional work visa for international graduates. STEM graduates get an additional two years post study work visa.
